Peter Alegi is a professor of history at Michigan State University and a well-known podcaster doing Africa Past and Present since 2008. He is the author of Laduma! Soccer, Politics & Society in South Africa and African Soccerscapes: How a Continent Changed the World’s Game, and co-editor of Africa’s World Cup and South Africa and the Global Game. He is Series Editor of MSU Press’s “African History and Culture Series”, a founding member of Sports Africa, and serves on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of African Historical Studies and African Studies. Alegi is currently writing a book titled Afripod: How Podcasting is Changing African Studies.
